It can be difficult to choose between making your friends happy and obeying God, as sometimes making your friends happy may mean betraying God's will.
However, following God's commands is worth it in the long run. One person told me that belief in God means doing what He wants, even if others may not understand or agree. People may call you names and you may lose a lot of friends, but if you have chosen to follow God, there's nothing you can do about it.
Although others may not understand your actions, you know deep down that you are doing what is right for your faith in Jesus.

ReplyI agree. God should look after you and when Jesus comes to you he leaves The Holy Spirit in you when he leaves, and The Holy Spirit guides you as well as bringing you strength, comfort, and peace when you need these.
ReplyWhen Christ Jesus walked the earth ~2000 years ago his core message was to love God first and foremost and to love your fellow-being as you love yourself. From the former and latter all good OR evil cascades depending on if we follow or not follow His message.
Another important message is that of repentance, which means that AFTER you fall go against God's will, you can repent through Christ Jesus, which means you change your mind and your life.
My point being: live, love and learn. If you fall and go against God's will, learn from your fall, and repent. This way you can teach us about God's mercy.
Faith is a journey, not a light switch. Best of luck.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
ReplyI've been there. Mocked used etc because of my faith. On judgement day those so called friends of yours won't be standing there with you. Its you and God. So over all don't please man, please God . Man or people will leave you, God won't if you don't forsake Him.
ReplyI agree with you. I've done things that I'm really not proud of for my friends, and with my friends. I did/do things that I know are wrong. I've been trying to do a lot better. I to be honest feel so much better.
ReplyTHX. they need to hear the gospel
