Trees give oxygen. Why do we need oxygen? To breathe. How do we breathe in oxygen? With lungs. Who's right mind was it to place every human body with lungs? A conscious being with enough awareness of what it is creating and the intentions behind it. We have a heart, eyes, ears, such and such: each with a vital job. The more you read about the human body, you'll become more attentive to just HOW specifically made every part of you is. The attention to detail. Now, what about the things that are man-made? What happened to them? They got wrecked. Every nasty experiment that tries to "play God" had ended with a tragic story. Don't take my word for it though. All it is SEEKING. If you want to find out something for yourself, stop asking other people for proof. Look at yourself. Look at the world. You'll render what is from God and what is not. Plus, the more you think of Him (good or bad) is a sign He is calling you. Us Christians, we can only tell you so much. My experience is different from other people's evidence. I know He exists because something very personal happened and no other person in the room was there to know of it, but God himself. Of course, not all Christians are representing God or His Word. There's false prophets. In the Bible, they are represented as wolves in sheep's clothing. "A wolf in sheep's clothing is an idiom of Biblical origin used to describe those playing a role contrary to their real character with whom contact is dangerous, particularly false teachers."
You still with me? What I'm pointing out is, you can't trust ALL denominations. ALL Christians. ALL people. There will come a time, when you are at your lowest, where you want to find God. Where you're trying to find love, peace, joy and relieve in all the wrong places, nothing is satisfying you; Pray. Just this once. I promise you, He's not pointing, judging or shaming you if you're LGBTQ+, alcoholic/addicted, gang member, an intrusive or angry person... anything for that matter.
He's not looking at you like the world does, or rather how the Devil does.
He validates you. He only wants to love you. Which, I'm sure you've heard of many times before, but it is true. God cares about your heart. Your heart's posture. He wants to help you with your anger, your depression, anxiety, habits and all. He knows the root of where those come from. To add, God gave us free will. He knocks at the door as gentlemen do. He won't barge into your life uninvited. You have a choice to invite Him into your life or keep the door closed. So, yes, don't take my word for it.
Find out for yourself. When you pray, keep praying. Tell Him EVERYTHING that had ever hurt you. Everything you feel remorse for. The things no person has ever known. Breakdown. Breakdown even if you think no one's listening. You don't need to be in a church or up a mountain; God can be reached within you, anywhere, anytime. Read more about Him. Watch more stories about other people's experiences on how they got to know God. Notice the way they talk about Him. The genuine glow on their face. Feed your soul into it, and every time you do it, you WILL notice a pull. A guide, shift, something only YOU will know. God is not one to confuse. People are. Whatever people have told you about God, think of it as rumors. The Bible can be twisted up too. There is SO MANY misunderstandings and incorrect information about Christianity being thrown out there, it really does mess with you. God's advice to Christians of today is to speak to Him directly about those things. If something isn't in the Bible, go into prayer and ask Him about it. At times, He speaks audibly (voice), by your thoughts, surroundings and through people. The closer you get to Him, it'll be easier to understand/notice/hear Him. It is a process of commitment. It's a relationship. Not religion. You're literally getting to know someone. And each relationship is different. My advice from Him may not be the same advice He gives you. That's what makes it more intimate or personal. He'll work with you, so if you're stressing about your sins, your past, identity, sexuality, He's not worried about that. You're still His people. The first thing to simply do is trust Him. Trust, have faith, repeat. As you would with a loved one. Every day you get to know Him, you'll truly be interested in Him. No force, no fake love. You only opened the door and said "hello." The rest will follow. It's okay to believe in a loving God either way.
The question is, if you had proof, would you stay quiet about it? Would you still choose to follow Him? Would you be ready for the world to hate you? Would you be willing to let go of what you thought you knew? To relearn, to have old lies revealed and mysteries you can't comprehend?
All about choice.
Lord, I pray for each one who reads this with an open mind and curious heart, for those who have been broken and have no one to turn to, those who cry before they sleep, and those who never felt like they could ever belong, be accepted, loved or cared about; I pray that they come to know what you've done for me, for others, and that they don't need to be afraid, anxious, confused or alone any longer. Lord, remind them about your Grace. Remind them about what you really did on that cross, and that their pain and suffering will not be in vain. Lord, show them you have a story for them, a plan, a purpose, a new life. That every part of them matters, and that there is hope for them to heal. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Good luck, my friends.
