Mother In-Laws

Anyone ever had a mother in-law you got along with well?

Yet she still has to make a comment about everything to everyone.

It's not like she picks on me or anything.

It is just how she is with everyone.

Instead of saying things like "OH your hair cut looks great!"

She would say, "Wow, you really cut your hair short. Is that what you wanted? How much did you have to pay?"

Like you can't just give a normal compliment.

She is an amazing woman and she loves me as if I were her own, but her comments lately have gotten out of hand and everyone in the family has had enough.

She is in her 50's so maybe that has something to do with it...

I don't know. All I know is it is getting played out and annoying.

I sometimes would tell my spouse we'd have to leave because she can be so overwhelming.
