in junior high i (a girl) realized i wasn't straight and had crushes on girls as well as boys. now i'm in college, dating a she/they lesbian and everything is so confusing. she's amazing but we seem kind of sexually incompatible... or something... we're both virgins and socially awkward, so there's that. we both find it hard to make moves on one another.
i find myself having dreams about men. usually guys i watch on youtube or from tv shows or whatever. the dreams usually involve feeling safe, feeling butterflies, etc, etc... it's like i'm longing for a man in my life? i have "daddy issues" and no real male role model in my life and i feel like maybe that has something to do with it. i've never dated a guy either (this is my first relationship) so i might be wanting to know what it's like ?
i feel bad about it. i like my gf a lot but i've just been feeling frustrated lately. it has me doubting my sexuality, too, but how could i be straight if i like kissing my gf and women are attractive to me ?? ughgghjgghdjhgdskbfd, fmb
or maybe monogamy isn't right for me???? but i can't imagine being in a polyamorous relationship i think i'd just feel really bad .
maybe i'm bi but like really man-leaning. or just call myself "queer" ?? labels suck !!!
god help me.

In what way to you find yourselves incompatible? Is it more of just a communication problem? (Kinda like the ‘lesbian sheep’ thing).
Having dreams/fantasies doesn’t necessarily mean anything, other than being frustrated and craving security & wondering if you’ll find it in someone different. If you wanted to, & both work towards it, I think you could potentially resolve this in your current relationship.
You don’t have to use labels if you find them too restrictive - I personally think the human experience is too broad & fluid & constantly changing
ReplyYou are most likely bi.
