I know it’s very specific, but I’m so in love with the show She-ra and the princesses of power, which is a kid’s show (though it explores some pretty dark themes) and I’m ashamed to tell my friends and family because I’m 24, just starting an academic career and I’m afraid they’d think I’m childish and shallow for being so into it. It’d just love to have someone to talk to about this show! Should I get rid of my insecurities and talk about it freely, or should I just keep it to myself?

Am I sick? Why can't I stop? Please help!!
Ever since I can remember I can't stop picking my skin. My legs are covered in scars and bloody scabs and blisters. I can't stop, and I'm scared the boy I like...
I am sorry, I don’t know this show. But I am 18 years old and I love the show pepa pig and people around me, they know that. And they don’t think that’s weird our childish at all! They think that is cute, because it matches my personality and stuff. If you aren’t afraid of being babied or so, go for it. Eventually it’s your interests and if they don’t respect that they aren’t true friends. I know there is a lot of maturity difference between 18 and 24 but in the end I think it’s the same scenario. I hope this helps
ReplyIts up to you whether to share about it with others. But its ok to watch animated shows if they make you happy. I'm an adult and I still watch various cartoons as well. I don't remember a lot about She Ra I used to watch He Man however. I love the theme song. Nothing wrong in that if it makes you happy. We all still have an inner child. You like what you like. That's my view anyway. Have a good day :)
ReplyI love that show finished it!
Reply1. love this show 2. Dont be afraid to tell them! If your friends think your baby-ish for liking the show, well whatever! As long as you enjoy it and it makes you happy, then its not cringe, or childish. Be proud of what you like! And don't let people put you down for it, please. If your friends/peers/family seriously bully you for it, have a conversation with them. It may be really hard, trust me I know. But its healthy.
