I've been taking my dog to the dog park for a year and these are the most aggressive breeds I've seen:
**Note, this does not apply to every breed. Each dog and owner is unique, as well as their life experiences and training. However, these breeds have been very consistent with their aggression**
Chihuahua or anything with chi mixed in. They hate you, your dog, and your spiritual ancestors. It's every single one. EVERY. Single. One. Stop feeding their egos with baby talk and praise. They're not cute. They're assholes.
German Shepherd. I've only seen 3 but the war begins as soon as they walk through the gate. None of the 3 are friendly. They don't bite the other dogs but they walk around like nervous, muscled up bouncer at a club, eyeballing everybody and working the perimeter. One owner has to keep a ball in her German's mouth or the dog will scream at any dog who walks by. She usually stands far away from everyone and the other dogs don't go near it. The other 2 mind their business with attitude but are waiting for someone to fvck around and find out.
Standard poodles. This is the most common breed that comes to our park. There are currently 6 standard poodles that come and 4 of them are bitey and start explosive fights for no reason. I've gotten to know their names well and if I see them at the park, I won't even go in. They haven't been coming as often because of that and the owners are S T R U G G L I N G. The smaller variations are totally fine and pleasant.

A stranger let my dog out by accident, he scratched someone and I’m ...
So…yeah. Last night some neighbours had a party in one of the outbuildings next to the dogs yard. Wasn’t our party, don’t really know them, we just provi...
Chihuahuas really are good dogs. I own one. Of course ours is a trouble maker when he sees other people or dogs. That much is true. They're a handfull. But to the family he's a good loyal lovable dog.
ReplyI have had two chis and they are loyal to family but I do agree that they are not nice dogs to other people and pets. They bite and attack a lot. They can be dangerous but they let it slide because they are small
ReplyI've been near to considered most dangerous breeds (rottweiler, bullterrier, pitbull and German shepherds) My take on the shepherd is that since their are seriously energetic and also they're known for behavior problems, they need constant training and socializing (since the lack of it can turn them aggressive) but they're not that friendly with other dogs either way, they tolerate other animals and people close to them but that's it... also the way their spine is located makes it difficult to read emotions (the position of the tale according to the ears) they're dogs that can easily hurt another dog with just playing (and people, I got stomped by one... in a playful way, but either way it hurt a lot)
and to add my take on the other breeds: rotti, bullterrier, pitbull, taught me that bigger dogs need to be put in dog school, they training makes them less likely to be aggressive and to be more friendly since there're another dogs around and lots of space and exercise. Either way must be handled by someone that understand the breed and its perks.
ReplyOP. It's been a few days since this post but one of the Germans finally attacked another dog. It just walked up, sniffed, and went for it. Pinned the other dog down and shook its neck. Kinda saw this coming. Both dogs are ok but I definitely knew it was only a matter of time. No other dog fights today, though.
