My boyfriend has been busy for the past few weeks, and he hasn’t been giving me much attention. I love him, but when other people flirt with me or give me attention, it’s really hard for me to reject them. It’s not his fault that he’s busy, but I know that he’s going to continue to be busy until he graduates in two years. I want to wait for him, but I feel like I’m wasting time. My summer has been boring because we haven’t been spending much time together. I want to explore other options and go on fun dates and have fun with someone. Should I tell him and try to explore other options?

This depends on whether you think if he is worth waiting for and missing out on fun.
ReplyIt's important to recognize your love language (sounds like quality time - same here!) and when we don't get that then we don't feel as close. It's ok to be busy, but you also have to make time for relationships. They take time and effort. So while you shouldn't expect him to spend all of his time with you, it's totally acceptable to say "listen, for me to feel loved by you, I need time with you. How can we make this work?" If he's willing, he will find time. We always make time for things we love. If he doesn't, then maybe your feelings aren't his priority and it's time to take a break.
