I need an Opinion

I have written this poem for a girl I have met and have been getting to know, She unknowingly stopped me in my tracks and is showing me there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Poem:

Once carefree, a cheeky soul, I roamed,

No worries, no judgment ever owned.

But within, a switch, unseen, was thrown,

The vibrant spirit I knew was overthrown.

Deep within, a hidden self did reside,

Locked away, his laughter seemed to hide.

I feared he'd never again confide,

Within my soul, where he once had pride.

But then you came, my saving grace,

With love and understanding to embrace.

Slowly, the real me begins to retrace,

The path to joy, his lively pace.

I yearn for the day when you will see,

The real me, once again carefree.

For in your presence, I feel truly free,

To be the happy, cheeky guy I used to be.
