New curtains

I got new curtains today.

Since they're yellow, they cancel out the blue, only letting sunlight in, and I didn't see that the clouds were crowding the sky until I had peeked behind them. I didn't like what I saw, the weather was bad.

People are like windows.

Everyone puts a facade, a mask, hiding their pain, and only when you get past that initial layer of curtains you see their real emotions.

I am like that too, one day I wish to tear down the curtains and let everyone see my real identity, but I'm afraid people wouldn't like the reality, just like the day I looked behind my new curtains.
