Remember the time?

Remember that time where everything was so fresh, new and exciting for us? We both had feelings for each other, but the night we could have hung out and explored "us" more, do you remember I reached out my hand for our secret handshake and you scoffed at it, then walked away? I think you were mad I didn't run up to you right away when. I got to the venue, or because I was talking to someone else.. idk.. Not sure what I did to earn your coldness that night, but it was a big clue into how this potential relationship could go. Especially since we weren't even dating. Maybe I read into it too much, but I've been in a relationship where I was "punished" for not doing things a particular way and I refuse to put myself in that situation again. It became abusive really quick. I'll always be kind to you because we're all human and life is hard enough to throw hate around, but I promise you it will not go further than cordial conversation.
