I just recently asked this girl out that I really like. The response from her was "Let's get to know each other better, then ask me again, but I do really like you as well." So for the past week, I've been hanging out with her as much as I can (she has volleyball and I have water polo), but I guess we haven't gotten anywhere. She recently had a bunch of us over and it was fun and all, I'd like to think we bonded more. But when I asked her if what we had was official, because I had heard she had been answering "yes" to other people if we were together, and she said "I don't know, this is my first time, and I'm just really confused." Later that night, she texted me saying she was sorry she upset me, which I said "Don't worry, you didn't upset me at all, I can see where you're coming from." But since then, it's been really awkward between us, she deliberately talks to my best friend instead of me, in our group text she responds to everyone but me. She also has taken more interest in said best friend, and I know it's silly to say this, but I start to feel jealous of him. I'm not sure what to do now, since I'm hoping this works out well. Does she think I'm mad at her? Is it something else that doesn't involve me? I'm genuinely kinda concerned, because I really do like her at this point, and don't want anything to happen.

I told my boyfriend the same thing. In the end, he asked me out a couple weeks later and I said yes. Keep pursuing her and in a couple weeks later ask her again. This will give her enough time to think it over and if she's not interested at least she didn't string you along for too long.
