weather intentional or not, I always find myself second guessing and reflecting on my words.
We like to talk about fictional content all the time, I've been here before asking why she's always so contrarian. It did feel condescending at times, but I can't tell if she's actually condescending or if I'm just over-thinking.
Here's the line that she said that made me just so confused. We were watching a movie together and she asked why people just won't work together even tho they have the same end goal in mind. To which I gave a throw-away line (bc I know if I actually give her my honest opinion, she'll start to be very contrarian) all I said was "classic plot!".
I was wrong, she'll always find a reason to be contrarian! even with a single phrase, she just "no, it happens in real life too" to me, which was true, I agree with that. So I agreed "yeah, I agree. Fiction is derived from reality afterall". Now here's the thing, I thought that she was always so contrarian because she wanted a 'yes' man. but to my surprise, she 'no'-ed my agreement?
or maybe my sentence just didn't actually agree with her? because I tried to push that fiction agenda? I'm so confused? is it me?

I just re read the thing she said. "her actual reply to my, yes I agree..." was: "no, not in most cases, but in most cases, people can also solve it". this... did she... just agree with my first sentence... and contradicted her own point- is she ACTUALLY gaslighting me or am I over-thinking, please help πor could it be that she has no idea what she's saying and it's cool to say "no".
ReplyI don't thinks she is gaslighting you, from my understanding of gaslighting, this is not it
