Ladies, would you date/marry a p0rn addict if he was your only option?
Why or why not? I'm curious because there was a heated discussion elsewhere about it....
I’ve been with my husband for 9 years and I like watching porn and the variety. My sexual appetites are big and I don’t think you’ve got demons inside of you. Probably just snoring lol. What’s addiction defined for you? Daily? Do you still have sex with your wife? Are you just feeling guilty? A lot of people feel guilty over watching porn. I also don’t know if therapy is needed, maybe it is or maybe you just have a big appetite and you aren’t fulfilled.
ReplyI think you should tell your wife, she might help. If you’re honest with her she might see the good side rot that.
ReplyMen are visual by design, hence all the attractive women used in marketing of male oriented products. However, bottom line, it's lust when it gets to the point of being addicted to porn. And lust is deemed one of the 7 deadly sins for a reason.
Maybe discuss with your wife, cut back to soft porn and ask her to watch it with you so you both experiment with it perhaps increasing your intimacy. Naturally you'll want a higher frequency of this; but you need to make a sacrifice for her if you love her, and let her set the boundaries. Best of luck.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
