Yknow America is known for its terrible education system? We're so academically behind a lot of the other developed countries and our rules aren't that strict either. We're known for things like wearing pajamas to school, being so ignorant of other cultures, learning absolutely nothing, stealing whole soap dispensers or something...
I guess that's why I feel even more pathetic. Like people are out there spending every waking second studying or working or whatever to the point that they can't take it anymore. So why do I feel the same while I'm just wasting my time every day?
I'm privileged enough to have an educational system that doesn't overwhelm us as much, I'm privileged enough to have a roof over my head and a home where I feel safe, I'm privileged enough to have leisure time.
Yet I keep wasting time, I keep crumbling, I keep acting weak. It's pathetic, even from my point of view.

panic attacks
I have really bad panic attacks and especially speaking in front of my classes or in front of a huge crowd. So, for me I try to avoid it at all costs, but today...
Ya, living in such a safe place as we do in America (compared to other countries) is a privilege in itself. It’s important to realize that, but instead of letting it overwhelm you, maybe ask yourself what the best version of yourself looks like.
When you think of a dream version of you in the future, or the version of you that you’d love to be, what do they look like? Now instead of stressing about how you’re gonna get there, focus on it step by step. Hell, take half steps if you must. Get out of bed, change your hairstyle, read a new book, start going on nature walks… do anything you have to do that will get you closer to your best self. Remeber to think in the present, not the past or the future, in order to progress in these steps. And don’t look at other people as standards, you set your own standards. Because it makes sense, only you know what could possibly be the best for you.
Good luck friend, you’re not alone in this confusing world.
