so I sit here alone listening to people tell me that I deserve better. What does that even mean? That we should only love those that are just like us? Doesn’t that make us arrogant? Pride is a deadly sin. I have no pride. Pride is like a non-exist to me, something that barely matters. I prefer shame. It forces you to go directly in, makes you hide within yourself thinking hard, and then you come out of shame a better more compassionate person, humble, the opposite of pride. They say that a man who moves with pride is brought to his knees by the world and given shame. Well I say own your shame. Wear it like a suit of armor that is made up of love, because the world has shown you how to see and care for your neighbor by the shame it’s shown within yourself. I never knew love until I knew one where what they say about it is true. Love is compassionate and kind, it does not count wrongs, it handles things with great patience. So how can you say that when you meet someone the forces you to practice what they say love is, that he be the wrong one, that there is one better out there. I prefer the hard to love one because he forces me to be what love is, compassionate, kind, and patient. I don’t think that love should be any other way really.
