i loved sunsets

i loved the night sky

i loved writing our names in the constellations.

i loved sweet nothings

i loved old memories

i loved new feelings that never lasted.

i loved the way the sun shined

i loved the dirt under my feet

i loved the colors the trees give

when they shake all their leaves.

everything that, again, brings me joy

and it’s all thanks, to a boy
