Usually, I write poetry but today I just wanna say something about my Nan, she was very beautiful and very kind, she may have lived in a trailer that looked like it was on its last legs but she was still the best. I heard she had passed away last night around 10:00 and it made me sad but, my dad, my cousin, my brother went there in December to see her after we left, both I and my cousin agreed that she may not have long left, sadly we were right about it. she is in a better place but any place was better than the people in the trailer who made it a dump. Hoping she is happy up there in heaven. R.I.P Nan

Another Day Gone By
The moon crawls into view, as the sun has gone to rest. It's time for heads to rest, and for a new day to dawn tomorrow. People sleep in their beds, but no...
God Bless you, I am sorry for your loss.
ReplyIts ok, thank you.
ReplySorry for your loss. As a classic song says - it's not what we take when we leave this world behind, it's what we leave behind when we go. It seems she might have taught you how to remain humble and outwardly beautiful in spite of our earthly condition. Thanks for sharing your story.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
Mary, Mother of Christ, intercede for us with your prayers, now, and always.
ReplyRest in peace to your Nana Caden, Prayers for you and your family.
ReplyThank you. Funeral is Tuesday so we get to see her one last time before she's gone.
