Understanding that we are all going to die is important, because what we always do is overcome obstacles, even if we thought it was never going to get better, it did in the end. Some individuals succeed, and there's honestly not much in the way of deserving to achieve the continuation of our species because it doesn't require much effort to procreate, relatively speaking of course. All the planets, stars and galaxies should align to create perfection and a worthy place for us all to prosper, or otherwise it wouldn't be worth it on the long run, no matter how much we try. Speaking in hard terms, if we never stopped trying, eventually we would succeed; that's why evolution is not really meant to stop, and the end of a species is really just an unfortunate series of events. For someone who is a renowned trash talker like me, I will never succeed because I've already given up to achieve something more. But that in my eyes is fine... not everyone can continue the chain; in fact, I bet most living beings or organisms didn't succeed. It's really not a deserved effort to successfully reproduce; on the surface it's pretty easy. Theoretically speaking, life could go on infinitely, with many failed attempts, and the question is not whether we will find a proper conclusion, but to go on, regardless of the earth decaying, or everything around us dying... that's what spaceships are for, to fly us to new and better places. We might face extinction, but that's not the end. If the point of life is to get bigger, smarter and/or evolve, then we should be equipped to survive our surroundings.
