I'll get mad,
And sick,
That I have
a foster parent,
And i'll yell,
And i'll say
“Screw, you,”
And then,
I'll put on shoes,
And walk out,
Walk down the road,
And walk,
And walk,
And walk,
For twenty
Minutes
But,
Right when
I get asked
“Do you need a ride?”
I'll walk back,
And i'll walk
And walk
Until I am home.

I have patterns to unlearn, new behavior to embody and wounds to heal. But there is nothing wrong with the core of me and who I am. I am unlearning generations of harmful behavior and remembering love. It takes time".
We are strong, my love. God is with us.
