My heart aches and i cry and scream in my closet out of pain. it's been years and it still feels crushing. I haven't been able to meet anyone that interests me romantically and it's been so hard to reconnect with friends. Haven't heard from this person in years and it sucks. I really, really loved them but it didn't work out. I said a lot of mean things when they left. I was so mad. I could not understand how they could just leave after so many years and unique moments. He tried so vaguely to get back together while i was intensively trying to make this second chance work.

Input: What do you regret most about your divorce?

It’s indeed rough my friend. It is heartbreaking how people move on, but listen, think of the moments that brought the most satisfaction, where you felt appreciated.
The moments that brought division was the lesson learned in how you deserve to be treated and reciprocated, and your courage in deciding what type of behaviors you wanted in your life.
All in all you are a champion at life! You are doing a great job. You are a role model to me. Thank you for your input!
ReplyAny breakup of a long term relationship is torture. I got through one by diving into new interests such learning a new sport and learning a musical instrument; kept my mind busy. Looking back, the breakup needed to happen, I realized later. Hopefully in time you're fine. Best of luck.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
Mary, Mother of Christ, intercede for us with your prayers, now, and always.
And after our worst deeds - never forget God forgives us when we repent through Christ Jesus.
