This is an isolated incident but similar has happened before, and I cannot help but overthink it. Just now I went to buy something and the customer service to the person in front of me was smiling and said have a nice day, but when it came to my turn they just said please (to pay) and just left without even a smile and avoiding looking at me. I try to smile and be as kind to workers but I don’t understand why this feels like it happens often. I work in the service industry as well so I understand it’s not a nice job, but the difference felt drastic. I try not to overthink but it feels like it happens too often and makes me feel like there’s something wrong with me. I just don’t understand and it makes me so sad.
