I really don’t know what to do, me and my family has been living abroad for 15 years now and once a year we visit our home country for vacation. but my mom’s really been wanting to move back to our home country but everyone in my family is against it, even my dad. i’m against it as well, i don’t want to move back. my friends are here. my boyfriend is here. my life is here.
i’m going to apply for universities soon and its either a university here or back in my home country. i already have found a good university here, and it’s the only one my dad can just manage to afford. although, it doesn’t have any of the programs or courses i want to do. but if i want to stay in this country, i need to do them. but what if i become unhappy and it gets hard for me when i get into this university.
well... it’s either that or i’m moving back to my home country and go to universities there, and i don’t want that because if i move back there i wont have any freedom, my parents won’t let me out since “it’s more dangerous there”, and just where i am now is where i want to be. i really don’t want to move back there, i don’t know what to do. please help me!

Some things you can control, some things you cannot. This decision is going to be out of your control most likely. The best thing to do is tell your mom how much you love where you are and don't want to move home, and accept it might not be the answer you are looking for.
This is a tough lesson but a good one to learn young. You can be happy anywhere if you have enough positive things in your life. Journal, read, write, meditate, and find something fun you enjoy.
ReplyOkay so I think it's an Asian country you're talking about. Most probably India & Pakistan or some other neighbouring country. If my assumption is right, don't move there. Do whatever you can do to convince your parents but dont move there.
