Freaking out, does this text ruin my grad school chances???

Hi! So I am applying to grad school and accidently texted an admission officer (who had texted me a while back to confirm my interview) thinking it was a coworker. I said "[name] come use your scary employee privileges to get these people off the Smith machine!!!". I immediately realized my mistake and texted back "Wrong number, my apologies!"
Do you think that admission officer will note the accident, or it will affect my chances of getting into the school? She is not my interviewer but is an admissions officer. I really would appreciate some advice, I'm really freaking out!!!!!

You're fine—if anything, she'll probably laugh it off. Your text was innocent and funny, and—if you really want to argue it—shows your ability to work well in a team in a creative, collaborative, and funny manner. People make silly mistakes all the time and I bet you she's made a few. Best of luck and don't stress! Grad school admissions are a gamble no matter what, this doesn't impact you at all.
ReplyThank you so much for your reassuring advice, it really helped!! < 3 She ended up texting me back and said lol. No Worries, I am intrigued though. So I guess she did find it funny now, I am wondering though if I should leave it there or fill her in on joke!
