TW: Food/eating issues. (Not sure if this counts as a eating disorder, when its more a conditioning)
Food aggression IS something humans can have. Not just dogs or cats, ect. AND, IT CAN BE TREATED!
_____
HOWEVER, 1st understand what is the main cause of it. (I can't speak for everyone's experience)
Often food agression is linked to food scarcity/ competition.
What this means is:
A person who is unfortunate enough not to be able to eat regularly or atleast with out stresses and difficulties.
INMAGINE:
A young child born into a family who suddenly takes a big financial blow, such as lay offs or cooperate meddling.
Thus, the parent(s) struggle to keep the child feed.
This clearly isn't the person (Child who then grows into adult with food aggression)
fault. However, life experiences stay with people.
Now, HOW TO IDENTIFY IT:
Symptoms can be a mix, and doesn't need everything "checked off ".
●Hostility to people around their food.
●Hoarding food, around the house, or in a special spot.
●Reluctantness to share. Like huge dramatic reaction. Kind of like #1.
● Eyeing others food. Hyper focus on food that's not theirs.
●Scarfing down their food.
Once we accept, recognize, and understand food aggression in human, we can make it easier not only for people to accept that part of themselves, but also to get help.
