Dear R,
Life is hard. It’s full of pain and sacrifice. It’s full of knowing things we don’t want to know. We are incredibly smart. Which is a blessing and a curse. We know things we probably shouldn’t. We’ve connected far too many dots to feel like a child still. But no matter what we cannot let that get to us. Yes, life IS hard, yes, it IS FULL of sacrifice. But it’s also fun, it’s full of love and compassion from Mom and Dad, it’s full of support from all sides. Blood has yet to matter to me, and hope comes from more than just other people. DNA is just a little thing. Something so microscopic we cannot see it. Other people will be there, good, bad, and the neutral. We have met others just like us. Those who are independent from society, those who aren’t afraid of death. Those who see change and welcome it with open arms. Those who are a little bit perfectionistic, and a little bit too shy at times. But we’ve grown up. We have a good relationship with Mom and Dad now. We’ve learned how to talk to both of them. We have smelled the sweet aroma that is peace with oneself. We have finally reached earthly love and compassion for oneself. We have learned to rely on God and the Bible. Two things I know you wanted to do from a young age. We’ve seen the world for what it is, and not all of it is bad. God has reminded us time and time again that we are meant to be here, you are NOT alone, and you are not special enough to have God make a mistake on YOU. Learn that now. Because God makes no mistakes. He is the only perfect being in existence, save for Jesus and the Holy Ghost. We have felt the Holy Mother and we have learned to love all of whom have hurt us. So yes, look upon these people who have hurt us, but be glad for what they have taught us. Never give up of yourself my love, I know I haven’t.
