My older sister is at her breaking point, and screaming at my mom upstairs, and I don't know what to do, but probably soon gonna have to go play peacemaker because it's sounding ugly up there. Anyway, I see both sides of the issue. My sister is screaming at my mom about how my mom treats her problems like they are stupid and not important, and my mom is defending herself, but also my mom does not always listen that well, it is true. But, my sister is realllly exploding. Also, my sister is very jealous of me because of things I can't control, and apparently my mom was comparing my sister to some of the other siblings, so that's very unhelpful and wrong of my mom to do. Idk, idk what to do with my family. All I ever wanted was peace, but people blow up at eachother because they don't cool off before conversing about how they feel, and they just blame eachother for everything and don't try to make peace at all. This is bad....

Call a family meeting and pass around a stick which each person must hold when they have a say. They can each speak their grievances and perhaps issues will be solved. But it might take a few meetings before everything is settled.

ReplyBlessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. Conflict is everywhere. We can avoid, accommodate, collaborate, compete or compromise. It seems your sister and mom are competing. In my humble experience, parents usually know what's best, since they've already made the mistakes. Best of luck.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
Mary, Mother of Christ, intercede for us with your prayers, now, and always.
And after our worst deeds - never forget God forgives us when we repent through Christ Jesus.
