I lost it all again. Now, if you knew what has happened to me up until now, you would say I’m pretty stupid - more than just stupid - ignorant, really.
I have a knack to fall for really stupid things. For one, I think I have a tendency to be an addict. Oops, not a tendency but the way I really am. I give in to the high most of the time. A high that just won’t allow me to stop even though I’m drowning in debt and have zero money in my bank account. You get where this is going. I am a gambling addict.
It started off innocent. I was introduced to an online casino game. Slots. I lost maybe a couple hundred at first and I was already devastated. The thing is, I should’ve stopped there. I curse the day that I started. Much like other addicts would say; they all would curse the day that they started however innocent or non-destructive it was.
I learned to risk more, win more, lose more, then gain some back, but the truth is, I lost more, so much more, than I ever won. It’s a no-brainer. Even I knew that gambling would lead to tragedy - but I did it anyway. I regret that I did. For so long, that is all I ever felt. Regret.
Now, I’m trying to find ways to earn money, just to recover from my losses and pay back my debts. It is hard to abandon the idea of winning the jackpot. Easy money. However, I’ve learned the hard way that there is no easy money. Easy money will easily get you into a ton of debt and self-loathing.
