Dear younger me,
I am writing to you as a little wiser you. I still may not know everything but there is a few things I wish I knew earlier in life.
Number 1. You don't have to please everyone. I know you want to make everyone happy but unfortunately it means losing your happiness. Learn to accept what you like and what you want. No matter who tells you it is selfish, you have to look after yourself. Find out what your morals are and what makes you happy.
Number 2. This connects to the first advice but is just as important. Learn to love and accept yourself. You deserve it. Anyone that doesn't like you for you does not deserve to be in your life. You deserve unconditional love. Even if it comes from yourself. Learn to accept your flaws and imperfections. Because that is what makes you, you.
Number 3. Strive to achieve great heights. Dream as much as you can and then put in the effort to make it happen. For your school career focus on your academics. Don't worry about anyone else. Just give your best. Learn how to push yourself but also give yourself time to be human. Balance is everything. The earlier you learn that the less burnt out you will be.
But the most important advice I can give you is, enjoy the little things. Each time you feel happiness enjoy it to the fullest. Don't let anyone or anything take that away from you.
Sincerely,
Your older self

I wish I fucked less women when I was younger
ReplyThis is very relatable for me (and I'm sure a lot of others) and I wish I could tell my younger self this, too. I was such a people pleaser but now I realize that I missed out on a lot because of toxic friends who were taking advantage of me. Hope you stay strong! 💗💗💗
