I want to keep her as a friend. I really do. And everyone likes her, and the people who know me like me (for the most part) so I don't know why she would decide to do this.
I have made another post about what was happening, but it was about a couple other things going on lately, too. So, 6 weeks ago my "friend" (we're gonna call her Julia) started being sour toward me two days after I started dating my girlfriend, (call her Zoe) . I'm openly omni, and she's bisexual, so when I told her, she freaked out because I guess she was trying to prove she was gayer than me????? (tf, it was so weird)
So Julia started making a huge deal out of it and stopped talking to me, which was so childish. We aren't in middle school, girl.
She also came to the conclusion that I didn't actually love Zoe because Zoe asked me out first. I'm not very confrontational so I didn't try to fight her on it because I knew there wasn't any point. However, Zoe got mad at her because she was being salty towards me. Zoe started to yell at her the day after, but I was able to break them up.
After that, Julia started to talk behind our backs at our high school that Zoe was fat, ugly, and annoying. I overheard her saying these things and my other friends told me.
Now, I haven't been talking to her, but everyone says she's changed a whole lot and feels bad. She was always kind to me before this, but I don't know why she overreacted.
So, should I go back?

I REGRET giving another chance to people. So, I'd watch out 'cause what if Julia falls back to her old ways?
ReplyReally, none of this has anything to do with sexual orientation. It's human nature to be vile (we're all guilty), and to rise above human nature takes a great deal of self-discipline. Sadly, most young people lack self-discipline, so although people can indeed change - change is not fast. At this point, in my humble opinion - it's about keeping someone who has let you down, who has betrayed your trust, keeping them, but at an "arm's length", and with time they might earn your trust again. Since, trust, love, and respect should be earned, not given. I hope this helps.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
Luke 2:29-32
Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations. A light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.
Mary, Mother of Christ, intercede for us with your prayers, now, and always.
And after our worst deeds - never forget God forgives us when we repent through Christ Jesus, when we change our minds and our actions.
ReplyPoster: Guys. I feel stupid, but she had a crush on me. That's why she was so mad about me dating someone. My other friend told me. I'm not supposed to know. Ughhh. I'm so confused I don't know what to do anymore. Is this really how she treats someone she has a crush on??? But it all makes sense now.
