I don't want to hire people at my restaurant who have a bunch of weird "spiritual 'needs'" (and I use the term "needs" loosely, because it isn't a matter of life and death) like having to pray at such and such time of day, or needing certain days off for worship, or wanting an exception to the uniform such as a skirt instead of pants. You don't actually *need* any of these things, and if you do "need" these things, it's a detriment to your productivity on the job. The uniform and schedule aren't the problem, your religion is. And my needs for the business outweigh the spiritual "needs" of any staff. I can't just outright say this or I'd be hit with discrimination lawsuits, even though they are free to choose a job that goes along with their unnecessary "needs." I don't want to hire anyone with these needs so that my business can run smoothly, and I don't see the problem with that. And I just want a way to weed out those kind of people before they even fill out an application.

My Timed Entry
I want to vanish I don't like being here Which was ironic because, I've always dreamed of being here Working here, has changed me For the bad rather than go...
Look for the obvious, hijab, Christian cross around neck, turban, Jewish look/nose, ethnic non-western clothes, invite potential employees for interview on their special religious day, and if they turn that day down, you'll know. I once had a job application and at the top it said Christian name, I filled in my name and scored out the word Christian as I consider my first name to be my first name and not a/my Christian name. I didn't get the job.
ReplyAlso consider not hiring females of reproductive age as they need a lot of time off and they may not even come back to their position.
ReplyLook for the obvious religious garb, Christian crosses, turbans, hijabs, the Jewish look, and plan interviews for religious days and see if they turn up. Also females of reproductive age may get pregnant and take time off. Don't hire parents as they need time off to look after sick children.
