My mom just found out I decided to take a study hall this year, and for some reason this really offends her. In her eyes, I'm trying to slack off during school since I have "no homework." This is highschool mom. Off course I have stuff to finish during study hall, and if I don't, then I can find something to work on. I have enough self control to not game in school but apparently my mom doesn't view me that way. Everytime we get on the subject of school schedules in conversation, she always brings it up her opinion that I shouldn't take the study hall in a super incredulous tone, as if she can't belive her son wouldn't follow in her all AP class footsteps. I've heard her describe herself as a non-judgemental person and that she will support me, but she literally guilt-trips me every time I do something she doesn't like. She's a hyprocrite.
I just had to get this off my chest since it isn't the first time she's done stuff like this. I love my mother since she is a good person, but this one tiny flaw in her irks me sometimes. My goal wasn't to demonize my mom, just to rant.
