Sometimes I wonder if I should just stay away from being in relationships. I've already wasted 4 months with my now ex that I'm completely not over yet, but I think I want to be in any relationship anymore. But I also don't want to be alone again, my old therapist told me I should get back into dating and I did. It didn't turn out so well because 2 summers ago I got cheated on, 7 months after that, I started talking to this guy and turns out he had a girlfriend the whole time and didn't tell me and lied about everything. And now, me and my current ex who I have been dating for 4 months doesn't want to get back together because all we do is argue, but he doesn't take accountability for anything for real. But hey, it's just life, right? I'm only a 17-year-old senior in high school and I have plenty of time to date, I just don't have time to waste on someone. I want kids in a few years from now, but I don't think that'll ever happen. I probably will never find love again to be honest, and I'm not okay with that. I want a happy life, and I want to get married, but I don't think I'll never receive that...

When couples argue all of the time or most of the time it is a pattern that they have got themselves into and they should see a relationship counselor to teach them how to break this pattern and to communicate properly.
ReplyAt your age romantic love is like a ride at an amusement park - safety first and enjoy while it lasts. Stay focused on your education and career goals, and later in college or in your career you'll be around men who are more mature and know what they want in life. I hope this helps.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
Luke 2:29-32
Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations. A light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.
Mary, Mother of Christ, intercede for us with your prayers, now, and always.
And after our worst deeds - never forget God forgives us when we repent through Christ Jesus, when we change our minds and our actions.
