Alone
I'm so tired of being alone. So much has happened this year so far and I've had to learn a whole new level of independence. It's great that I can do so much now...

First of all, I have been an introvert (if you’re wondering my MBTI, I’m an INFP) since I was a child also, before I begin, I was born with hip problems whi...
I have three best friends so I'll write about each one.
Daniel - He's funny and is there for me. Will never make fun of me for something personal, and will subtly try to get my introverted ass to talk to people.
Emma - They make me laugh. Our personalities play off of each other's and match up perfectly. We're just like each other in so many ways, and I feel like I can tell them anything. They're a real person to relate to.
Liz - She's strong and brave. She worries about me and comes up with perfect dry punchlines and witty insults to people who hurt me. Is innocent but tough as nails, and loves me the same way I love her.
ReplyI’ll assign them their favorite colors!
Light pink - sweet and kind. Wants to do the best by people. Super smart and always wants to improve her mind. My longest friend. Grounds me as I do her. She is an angel
Sky blue - hard working, super witty, always makes me laugh. he has the kindest eyes I’ve ever seen. So, so anxious but always tries to be brave
Turquoise - strong sense of justice. Made me laugh so hard one time I almost threw up. Same desire to see the world. One of few people I can live with
Orange - confident like no one else, very sharp and always notices things going on. Will find the bright side no matter what’s happening. Similar styles of humor, and one of few people I trust to become a doctor as she is studying to
Lavender - kind with a sarcastic sense of humor. Never afraid to stand up for herself or someone else. Shows me all kinds of new things and we share things very easily. Opens me to new ideas. Wonderful to animals and care for others shines in everything she does
Yellow - the only person I can share my writing with because I know she understands what I mean when I write. Extremely hard working. Strong empathy, protective of her family
ReplyI have two best friends which I will assign them by colors :)
Light Pink- She's the friend that I've known the longest and has a similar family structure as mine. We had a falling out, but I think it's what actually made us closer. I think she's one of my favorite friends because she understands how I feel without me telling her. She's gone through similar things as me and understands how the situation could've felt. I'm glad that she doesn't give up on me when I don't feel talkative and when were together, we have a blast.
Purple- She's like another version of myself that I want to be. She's confident that everything will work out and even if she's anxious, she still finds a way to let life do its thing. I wish I could accept change as easily as she does, and I want to be able to confident enough to go after my dreams I hold her dear to me because she understands me and makes me feel reassured. We haven't been in contact much lately, but I know we'll always be there for each other.
ReplyMy best friend is everything that my past friends weren't. She actually gives a shit about me. Things are so balanced with her. She tells me her problems and is open to hearing mine. She doesn't push me to share, but listens when I decide to. And she doesn't diminish my struggles or experiences. She is someone I can actually trust. She never makes me feel small or stupid. She doesn't bully me about my likes, dislikes, opinions, or the way I look. She treats everyone with kindness and compassion. She doesn't twist my words or make me out to be someone I am not. She is fun to be around. She is open to goofy times and serious times. She is one of the first people I have actually felt comfortable being myself around. And even though I don't always open up to her, she checks in on me. And I check in on her too. This is probably the first friendship I have had that wasn't one-sided. I like our reciprocity.
The prompt was what I like about my best friend, but I ended up listing more about what she is not. When I saw this prompt I literally burst into tears. I have been reflecting a lot recently on my past friendships and even missing some of those toxic people recently. I am just immensely lucky to have found her in my life. I hope she feels the same.
ReplyThis is amazing. I'm glad you've found someone like this, and I'm glad my post made you open up about them. Thank you for sharing.
