reliant on male validation for happiness

i like this guy. i took a leap of faith yesterday and messaged him, he replied quickly and his responses were lengthy. however since yesterday theyve gotten shorter and hes taking longer to reply. i just feel like im so reliant on male validation for my happiness and i dont know how to stop. i know people say just stop talking to men and focus on yourself and your own hobbies but then i always have this thought in the back of my mind saying noone is ever gonna truly love you and theres smth wrong with you that you cant fix and youre gonna be alone forever.
