So why, then, do they think the kids owe THEM something? Shouldn't it be the other way around? The parents brought the kids into the world by choice, therefore they are indebted to the child they made. At no point does a child owe their parents anything for simply bringing them into the world. The child did not agree to the terms set forth by the parents. The child does not owe the parents gratitude, a good attitude, or good grades for the bare minimum of food and a roof.
