Jealous of art friend

We used to be pretty close during the pandemic, I would say they are a bit better than me at art, but we are both pretty good. We used to have an unspoken thing where we just retweet each other’s art, esp cos we were pretty small accounts, but in the past year, they’ve really exploded on twitter, and I feel like with their newfound popularity, they don’t even retweet my stuff anymore. It goes across all socials. I feel like even though we still talk, idk I feel also forgotten? Like I still go and retweet their stuff but they just like and then I feel the support isn’t being reciprocated at all. I feel like, esp nowadays with the algorithm, that retweeting art is the only way I can get noticed. I make sure they’re noticed with my followers, but they have three times the amount I have, and can’t even get my posts noticed? I’ve since then slowed down retweeting their art, because they have more followers than me, and they’ve stopped retweeting my art. I had to mute their account because the sheer look of their account and knowing they have so many followers with so much interaction, while I’ve tried to post so much in the past few weeks alone and I barely get any, is just so irritating and makes me like I’m failing as an artist and makes me not want to draw anymore. Like it’s not even worth posting.
