Black and Gloomy

Black here and black there,

Black is all I see everywhere,

Can't seem to shake this feeling-

Of impending doom,

Deeper and deeper I am sinking ,

Surrounded by gloom.

Tried shaking it off again and again,

Tried telling myself this isn't real,

But donno why deep inside, I feel pain,

It's gut wrenching, don't think I'll heal.

There's something, I know for sure,

The fear is unadulterated- it's pure,

Can't seem to point my finger at it-

Obscured and, soon, it's gonna hit.

Can't function, Need a little positive to survive,

But there's only negative, cutting in like a knife,

Going in deeper by the minute,

Doubt I'll live through it.
