I've gone down and prayed
Read your words before I ate
Believed the empty promises
So many times
I hate you
Are you up there sitting on your thrown?
Children crying
People dying oh so slowly
Where is the answer that you've had
So many times?
Non?
How pitiful, but I'm not surprised
What dry humor
You're a joke!
Why did I love you so much?
So many times
Your throne is breaking
Our world is shaking
Rule of books
Just empty silent lies
So many times

Such a quick switch
We've always had an interesting dynamic. You would tease me and I'd jokingly steal your pencils in spanish, always giving them back when you noticed. You...

I thought I was over him. We were talking. We had a snap streak. We were friends again. All it took was a three second selfie on his story and the memories came...
Free will you gave us!
Free will we abuse it.
We don't believe now.
But we still wanna blame you?Grace by a stranger.
ReplyStranger, I'm sure where you're getting at, but we were not given free will, but we were born with it.

ReplyIs there even a 'Jesus'?
ReplyYou have a great poem and I just understood it in a different way. Please keep on doing what you're doing. The same stranger.
ReplyBtw that's very sweet. I appreciate it. Thank you :)
ReplyThis is just my opinion. I think most look in the wrong place for source. Source is everything but your connection to it is in you. Aka your truth. We are all different after all. So don't listen to what people places and things say in this physical world. Journey within. God as you call him wants to be more personal than through somone else. All titles and perceptions are important to that individual. They try to explain things they dont understand with measurements like time and math, but really they are all illusions. Love n light hope I peaked your interests.PS... if things happen here who really failed us god or us. We blame creator when we dont want to point the finger the only place we have to point it. Before we blame source maybe we should ask what have we done to fix it first.
ReplyWow, I really like your poem! It's sad to me that once you write about religion it's immediately just like a million of "you will find your light; I found my truth; the lord loves you," and i think it's so much better to actually have a discourse rather than those essentially meaningless or at the least self-centered ideals. As an atheist i am clearly biased towards the opinions expressed here but nevertheless i enjoyed your writing! powerful :)
