The Burdens We Carry
We are but pack mules on a journey across the great land.
One foot in front of the other becomes our daily routine,
One foot, one thousand burdens.
Unlike the mules, we mustn't rest for life does not stop,
Our journey does not stop.
One more foot, two thousand burdens.
No other mules can carry our packs, our burdens.
The clanging of chains is not a gang, it is our ball and our ball only.
One more foot, three thousand burdens.
Let us be strong like the mule, no matter the weight, we must rise.
We are the pack and we are the mule,
Inseparable and united.
Unwavering and enlightened
We are human.
