Sleep is funny, don't you think?
When your overwhelmed by emotions, you want to sleep. When you become numb from the onslaught of emotions, you want to sleep.
When you sleep you can exist in a world of good or bad or just not exist at all. It's soothing. It's welcoming. It could also throw you into turmoil.
In the end, sleep leaves you searching for more answers.
