I have been so mad lately, at our government, at all the people that decide to turn their backs and not try to make a difference just because it wont affect them. I was at the walk out today, and I cried, because there were so many students out there just hoping, trying to make a difference. And after that, on campus, there were just a few students that stayed. They stayed during classes. Not to skip or get attention, but to talk. They talked, voiced their opinions, and were free in that moment. Many people cried, shared their stories, and were just there as a family, even though half of them didn't know anyone there, they were all hugging and sharing and it was amazing, and those students are an inspiration to me. Because I was one of them.
Schools should not be a place to be afraid, it should be a place to learn, to feel happy. Imagine that when you said I love you to your parent or kid one day and it was the last time. No one should have to fear that. So I say, GUN CONTROL FOR OUR COUNTRY. Now who's with me?
