A Thank You to Ana’s Dad

We will never meet and you've saved my daughter’s life. Jessica was assaulted 3 months ago and it completely tore our family apart. She was refusing therapy and I was afraid I was going to lose her. I didn't know she had been coming on this site looking for help, but I'm so thankful she did. She found your letters to your daughter and they touched her so much.

She relates so much to Ana she told me she felt like she knew your daughter and what she went through. Seeing the pain and grief you go through sparked something inside of her. She didn't know how deep a parents love for their child is and she doesn't want to put me, her mom, through that kind of pain. She shared your letters with me and she wants to get help now.

Thank you so much for what you've done. Every suicide is a tragedy. I know it does not help, but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter. She is looking down helping girls like her, so try to take comfort in that.
