This Moment Will Pass

By Novni Community Member

I'm trying hard to keep a good outlook. Today, I've fallen into a hole and it's been difficult to climb back out of it. Someone told me that all I have to do is turn my thinking around, and that it would take him an exhausting amount of effort and time to be as miserable as I seem.

Even though he means to be helping with some tough love, it hurts to hear. It seems like it takes me an exhausting amount of effort and time to be as balanced as he is, especially on days like these.

Here's another attempt of me trying again to move in some sort of direction, away from where my head is right now.

You - listen to this. What matters is the present and living in the now.

Right now, things don't seem very bright and you might feel like you're not an okay person. You feel that who you are now, the way you act, the mistakes you've made will define who you are forever.

But remember that people are not constant, except for constantly being in the state of change.

So, while things may not be great right at this very moment, who you are right now is not who you will be forever.

Remember that you will change and you will be different at another moment in time, and that in that present moment you could feel and be better.

In that present moment, that better form of you will be the you that matters.
