AttitudeLive is the world’s largest online collection of documentaries telling real stories of people living with disability. This video reveals the truth about disability through the lens of people all over the country living with various types of it.

Although living with a disability has its tough times, it has lots of lighter moments too. While watching this documentary you’ll laugh, learn, and hopefully gain a broader perspective about disability in the process.

When asked about what it’s like to be pitied in public, the unanimous advice was that you don’t want to be that person. Don’t be a “back-slapper” as Curtis Palmer called it.

It’s not an inspiration that a person with a disability is out in public living a normal life. It’s very important that people are educated enough about disabilities to know that people living with them don’t need a gold medal just for waking up in the morning.

Your daily challenges may be different than someone who is blind, deaf, or in a wheelchair, but when you spend the time to get to know someone you’ll realize you’re more alike than different!
