Ezra Frech is a 9-year old boy who is wise beyond his years. He has overcome his physical disabilities, but that is not what makes him special.
His attitude and outlook on life are what sets him apart. Yes, he has a prosthetic leg and only two fingers on his left hand, but his disabilities do not define him.
There were moments when Ezra questioned why he was chosen to get his leg taken away out of all the other kids. He came to the realization at a young age that he couldn’t change how he was born and sought to make the best of his situation.
When Ezra was asked how he stays positive his response will blow you away:
“I have to think about what I have, instead of what I don’t have. I have a great life. I have a great family. I have great legs. I have great friends. I have a great school. I could go on for years! I am just grateful I have so many things that are great in my life.”
Whether you have a physical disability, mental disability, or no disability at all, this video shows us that there is always something to be grateful for. Ezra’s outlook on life reminds us of this powerful way of thinking. When you face challenges in life try not to focus on what you don’t have, but rather what you do have.
