Your entire life can change in the blink of an eye. This PossAbilities video showcases four people that beautifully demonstrate how your identity isn't about your physical capabilities, but rather who you are as a person.

PossAbilities is a community outreach program developed by the Loma Linda University East Campus. Its goal is to offer disabled individuals who were born with or have suffered a permanent physical injury a sense of community and provide activities and practical help to integrate them back into life—once again becoming valuable members of our communities.

The people featured in this video all experienced life-altering injuries. Joining the PossAbilities program helped them focus on their abilities rather than their disabilities in order to cherish what’s truly important in life. If you’ve experienced a traumatic injury you might be feeling angry and dejected. After watching the triumphs of the survivors in this video, hopefully you can have a newfound sense of hope to feel significant again and appreciate the important things in life.

If you’re watching this video and have not experienced a traumatic injury, there are still valuable life lessons to be learned from the way in which each person is choosing to live their life to the fullest without making excuses along the way.
