Unless you marry your high school sweetheart or hit the jackpot your first time dating someone, at some point in your life you’ll probably end up in a toxic relationship. You might even find yourself in a toxic friendship too. Watchwellcast helps you realize when you’re in this type of situation and gives tips on how to end a bad relationship before things get any worse.
Ask yourself this important question. Is your significant other, or friend, giving you energy and lifting you up when you’re down or are they draining you of energy and bringing you down?
If you’re unsure whether or not your friend or partner is bringing you down, Watchwellcast suggests that toxic relationships come with symptoms similar to having a cold.
If your significant other constantly wants to change you, gets jealous when you spend time with others, and forces you to only do things they want to do, then you’re probably in a toxic relationship. Once you take a step back to recognize your role in the relationship you can better diagnose how you’re being treated.
The next step that Watchwellcast provides is to start building boundaries. “You can’t change other people, but you can stop being a doormat”. If you determine this person is toxic to your life, start spending less time with them and make an attempt to detach yourself emotionally as well.
At this stage you’ll want to surround yourself with people that love you and want you to be happy. Afterall, this is how you should be treated!
Remember that “You teach people how to treat you, so do yourself the favor of loving yourself”. This is the first step to any healthy relationship. If your find yourself with a toxic person, try these suggestions to end the bad relationship before it gets any worse.
