Phil Drewiske is a 24 year old recovering heroin addict from Hudson Valley. Phil started using prescription drugs in middle school and that habit led to his curiosity of heroin.
By age 16 Phil tried heroin for the first time and was hooked. Luckily for Phil he had the support of his father who became a vital part of his recovery.
Phil’s father recalls a turning point in Phil’s life where he spent time in jail for robbing his best friend’s house. It was the wake up call that he needed to get help and turn his life around.
While attempting to overcome his addiction, Phil went to thirteen different rehab centers. Throughout his recovery his family has stayed by his side to support him and make sure he got the help he needed.
Phil is now 3 and a half years sober off heroin. Despite all odds Phil has overcome his addiction. If you, or someone you know, are struggling with addiction there is hope and this is proof.
