I am 5 foot and I weighed about 135-140 my senior year, I left high school 3 years ago. And my weight got higher every year, I was about 170ish the last time i checked last year. I ended up getting a new job 5 months ago, and I guess I started losing weight without knowing. I thought I was gaining weight because I felt like i was eating more... But i think because I do skip breakfast and I have been drinking A LOT of water.. I cant live without my water. I dont mean to skip breakfast its just i have to get up for work at 3am, and work non stop with no break until 12 or 1pm... I do end up getting hungry but because of the rush we have ( we get on lunch breaks or breaks), all I can do is drink water all day. But the days I work afternoon shifts and my days off I eat 3 meals a day with a snack here and there. But I work more 3am shifts then anything.
But, anyways... (Keep in mind im only 5foot so this weight is heavy on me) My last weight I checked I was 170ish, now im 155. I am only 15 pounds off from my high school weight. And that's my goals. And Since I lost weight (not the way I wanted to lose weight because its unhealthy)... I can have a chance to start counting my calories, and actually doing something now that im close. Im going to do the healthy way. But I love having my sweets tho, with my anxiety and depression it what I run to, and I get so irritated when I dont have it...It a addiction that I don't want to get worst... Now I know to some people that weight is not bad... 155... But I am short as hell and it doesn't look good on short people and its a burden on my body, im actually considered "over weight" due to my height as well.... I don't feel comfortable and I know I'm unhealthy and I want to lose weight for my self. But it so hard when im addicted to sweets.

ReplyHello it seems we have allot in common. I am also short, therefore more weight does not suit me at all. Furthermore I use to do overnight shifts which would leave me eating an irregular hours and caused me to gain to weight as it shook my metabolic clock. I understand that you want to loose weight in a healthy manner. If so the best advice for you is to plan ahead, meal prep and always have healthy options available to your in our home, or with you in your workplace, etc. Furthermore, I would strongly suggest you do not skip breakfast, you can at-least munch on a piece of fruit or toast before heading out the door. Also to curb your sweet cravings, dry dark chocolate or candy made from stevia (I eat lots of dark chocolate or fruit dusted in stevia to curb my sweet tooth craving). Hope this helps
ReplyCongrats on wanting to lose weight the right way. I really like the ThinkThin bars. They are a high protein bar that is coated in chocolate. They have a low glycemic index, which is great for my diabetes, and totally satisfy my sweet tooth. And since they are the size of a candy bar, they are quick to eat on the run. Good luck!
