Facing the Facts: My Son’s Dad is a Joke

It’s been a little over half a year since my son has seen his dad. Not because I don’t want his around (lord knows that would be easier for me), but because he has willingly chosen to not see our son. Seeing our son is “too much” for him, yet he found the time to get married, impregnate her, and be “an amazing” step-father to her kid. Someone please tell me how/why someone would think that okay? In what cruel world is it okay to give up on a child only to create a “new” family. I cannot seem to wrap my head around it. However, as much as this petty crap bothers me. THE BEST HAS YET TO COME. Everyday my little badass is getting stronger, smarter, funnier, and more kind. And I will be there. Not because I have to. But because I want to. I pride myself in knowing that I am raising a gentleman. A true man. A God-loving, family-supporting, truth-speaking man. My son will be better than me, and he’s going to be twice the man his dad currently wishes he was.
